Mersen Salem,VA, celebrated Safe + Sound week
During the week of August 21-24th, Mersen Salem celebrated Safe + Sound week.
Safety activities throughout the week included ergonomics training, industrial hygiene testing and participation in fun safety games to highlight hazard identification.
The week ended with a celebration of our world-class safety record: 5,275 working days without lost time accident. Martin Fischer, General Manager, recognized the excellent effort of all employees in achieving such a strong safety program. Employees enjoyed a fantastic southern barbeque lunch and spending time together. Some associates competed in a friendly cornhole tournament after the lunch.
